Individual Surface Pattern Licenses

PERMITTED USAGE:

• ✅ You are permitted to use the surface pattern for any project, craft, or gift for your own personal use.

PROHIBITED USAGE:

• ❌ You are prohibited from using the surface pattern in any manner that would result in potential commercial gain. Including, but not limited to digital or physical products for sale, or digital or print business advertising.

▶︎ This license is for small businesses with 1-2 employees.

PERMITTED USAGE:

• ✅ You may use the surface pattern to create digital or physical products that you will offer for sale.
• ✅ Up to 500 end products may be sold using this pattern
• ✅ Pattern may be used in a digital product as long as the end product is different than the original design by adding text, other design elements, backgrounds, & requires time and effort to produce. eg. invitation templates, website design layouts, online advertisements.
• ✅ Pattern may be used to create a physical end product that you make yourself.
• ✅ Pattern may be printed on fabric or paper to create a physical end product (ie. clothing, handbags, junk journal, etc.)
• ✅ Pattern may be used for online or print business advertising.
• ✅ Pattern may be used to create a physical end product - this includes POD products such as mugs, bottles, calendars, notebooks, etc.

PROHIBITED USAGE:

• ❌ You may not sell fabric, wallpaper, scrapbook paper, or any product sold by the yard/meter featuring the pattern in physical form or via POD (print on demand).
• ❌ May not be used in a manner that is directly competitive with the original design asset/s (such as, but not limited to clip art).

▶︎ This license is for businesses with 3+ employees.

PERMITTED USAGE:

• ✅ You may use the surface pattern to create digital or physical products that you will offer for sale.
• ✅ Up to 250,000 end products may be sold using this pattern
• ✅ Pattern may be used in a digital product as long as the end product is different than the original design by adding text, other design elements, backgrounds, & requires time and effort to produce. eg. invitation templates, website design layouts, online advertisements.
• ✅ Pattern may be used to create a physical end product - this includes POD products such as mugs, bottles, calendars, notebooks, etc. (see limitations below)*
• ✅ Pattern may be printed as-is on fabric, wallpaper, papers, etc. and made available for sale ONLY if you are selling the physical product through your own shop/store.

PROHIBITED USAGE:

• ❌ May not be used in a manner that is directly competitive with the original design asset/s (such as, but not limited to clip art or digital patterns).
• ❌ *You may not sell any product that is sold by the yard/meter such as fabric, wallpaper, or wrapping paper on a POD (Print On Demand) platform such as Spoonflower, Printify, Redbubble, etc. It is strictly prohibited.

▶︎ Semi-custom & exclusive surface pattern design is available on a limited basis for commercial use. Pricing starts at $300.

Semi-custom patterns are designed and created based on a client's ideas and needs, and are sold exclusively to that particular client for their sole commercial use.

Patterns such as these can be created singularly, or several together to form a cohesive collection for use on fabric, clothing, wallpaper, home decor, gifts, stationery, office supplies, and more.

HOW IT WORKS:

▶︎ Client provides pattern inspiration in a design brief that references proposed usage, color palette, desired imagery, theme, scale, etc.

▶︎ If I feel I am the right fit as a designer for the pattern/s based on the design brief, I will design and create pattern/s, and they will be presented for review by the client.

▶︎ Due to the involved and detailed design process used for pattern design, no revisions to the design can be made once it has been completed and presented.

▶︎ At this point the client can choose to purchase the pattern design that will then be exclusive to their business, OR they may choose to pass on the purchase. If the client chooses to pass, the pattern designs I have created will be made available for other businesses to purchase in my shop under my other commercial licenses.

▶︎ IF the client would like the purchase the design with changes/revisions, additional fees will be incurred.

PERMITTED USAGE:

• ✅ Client may use the surface pattern to create digital or physical products that you will offer for sale.
• ✅ An unlimited number of end products may be sold using this pattern

PROHIBITED USAGE:

• ❌ Client may not sell or transfer ownership of the pattern to any other individual or entity.
